It’s quite unusual to discover a cafe that offers inexpensive food and drinks. especially if you are in a business district like Makati or Ortigas Center– Well, I’m fortunate enough that I have discovered TORMOJ Cafe in 8137 Plaza, Escriba Drive, Ortigas Center, pasig City.   You might be amazed why the prices are affordable and you might think as well that they just offer the usual food that you see in sidewalk eateries or cafeterias.  The menu can be compared with the popular restaurants or cafes, but the difference in Tormoj Cafe is that even the students and ordinary employees/workers can afford to hang out here.

Just last week, my kids and I were able to try their bestsellers.   As a food blogger, a visit to a restaurant or cafe won’t be complete without trying chicken, dessert and the coffee.  We started with their rice meals since we arrived at past 1pm already.   When the lemon chicken was served, I felt the excitement.   I liked the blend of cream and lemon in their sauce.   Even my daughter who is also a picky eater like me enjoyed this and the Pork Belly.  (Usually it would take her an hour to finish her meals, but not this time!)

I tried the Pesto Pasta which was very tasty but because my son Kyle enjoyed it, I ended up having the Chicken Cajun Pasta instead.  I actually prefer it over the Pesto Pasta because I don’t get sick with the spicy and strong taste.   I do not have any complain at all– the noodles were cooked al dente and no unpleasant taste.

And because I am a certified COFFEE ADDICT,  my visit won’t be complete without trying their coffee.

Iced Coffee

I loved the Iced Coffee– not too sweet and strong.  It was perfect to pair with the Chicken Cajun Pasta.

The kids loved the Choco Java Chip Fraffe and Halo-halo.  If you would just like to chill or have a place to do your assignment, finish a project or conduct business or group meetings, this place is perfect for you.

Vietnamese Coffee with Kahlia

The highlight of my visit is experiencing their Vietnamese Coffee with Kahlia.  I couldn’t get over the taste- soooooo addictive!  Below is a video of the actual preparation of their Vietnamese Coffee (personally prepared by Ms. Sharen Mojares)- the daughter of the owner, Tita Mojares.

The only thing that they need to work on with in the future is providing more space to their customers.  They already have a clean, decent place with cozy ambiance, but it can only accommodate up to 15 to 20 pax.  Other than that, we do not have any issues at all.  They serve delectable dishes and you can even request them to cook a special dish if ever it is not in the menu.  They are open from Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm.

I highly recommend TORMOJ CAFE– this cafe is worth a visit when you are in Ortigas Center or near the area.

I have a BIG revelation this coming summer and I am carefully planning about it.   Part of my preparation for this is to have a fitness and beauty routine.  I am already working on my achieving my beach-ready body by being a member of Fitness First.   I get to visit the club at Robinson’s Metroeast thrice per week, but I do my workout at home daily so I also burn some calories.  I am already working on creating my own meal plan that will help me achieve my fitness goals.  I know that I am already in the right track but it isn’t enough yet.

Because of the nature of my job, I am superstressed all the time so I need to devote a little of my precious time to destress.  Aside from having facials, body scrubs to achieve the perfect glow of my skin on April, I also need to have hair, foot and nail pampering.

In this post, I will share about the Vitamin Sea Package that I had in Nailaholics Nail Salon & Spa after my workout.  It is so convenient for me because it is also located in the 3rd Floor of Robinson’s MetroEast, Marcos Highway, Cainta, Rizal–so, right after my workout, I can also have my destressing session there.

Upon entering Nailaholics, I was relaxed by the clean and quiet ambiance.   They have a summer backdrop that will set your mood to relax.  I had their Vitamin Sea Package (manicure, pedicure and foot spa)  I loved the feeling while my feet were soaked in the warm water.

img_2897

I met these gorgeous and friendly staff (Jho- who did the foot spa and pedicure & Rubie who did the manicure).  I have chosen the color of my nail polish– guess what?  Yes, you’re correct, hihi!  I have chosen pink 🙂  I would have tried nail art, but then they do not have the tools.  They have it in the other branches– it just happened that they do not have it when I came.  In the Vitamin Sea Package, they use the regular but branded nail polish.  They recommend the gel polish as it stays longer than the regular ones.  Hmmm, probably next time I will have the gel manicure and pedicure.  I was informed that they have an ongoing 15% discount to their gel manicure and pedicure.

img_3118

Compared to the other salons, Nailaholics makes sure what the customers want.  Rubie asked first about the desired length and shape of my fingernails.  She gently massaged the fingers  and asked me if I felt any pain at all.  You will totally feel comfortable and would like to stay for the rest of the day, hehehe 🙂

I’ve been to other nail salons and I was used to the experience that the attendant was always in a hurry so in about less than 15 or 20 minutes, I’m already done with the foot spa and pedicure and of course, I ended up dissastisfied with the service.   I was surprised  that it took them more or less one hour for the whole service.

If you would like to try the Vitamin Sea Package and their other packages as well, you can visit Nailaholics.  Please click their website for their services and branches.

After we had a visit to Subspace Coffee House in Ortigas Center last Saturday, we looked for a place where we can have our lunch because we haven’t had our breakfast yet.  All we had is just coffee @ Subspace– luckily, we saw Maria’s at Eton Lofts.   I knew everything would taste good even if it really tastes like cardboard–because we were really starving at that time.  I ordered Fried Chicken and ice cream for my daughter and Chicken BBQ Sub for myself.

img_2802

Yep!  Everytime I go out for a restaurant visit, I check out their chicken and desserts as I do not eat pork and beef 🙁  Hmmm, so we waited patiently for our food and prepared to devour it.  When the fried chicken came, I didn’t have any complain about the taste.  I recommend their garlic rice– not only it is a healthy food, but their version of it was  flavorful.  What I didn’t like though is my Chicken BBQ Sub 🙁  I LOVE Chicken BBQ but I didn’t want it to be that salty.  There was no problem with the presentation– I just didn’t like the taste.  I liked the potato wedges and the complimentary iced tea.

The staff are very polite and they even allowed me to charge my phone.  The ambiance is also cozy and the CR is also clean.  Would I go back?– Hmmm…. probably, when I visit the area again.

I’m a coffee lover so part of my weekend is not only to scout for beauty salon or spa service that suits my taste, also to visit selected restaurants and cafes.  Just this Saturday, I was able to check Subspace Coffehouse, located in Garnet Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.  It was established in 2011 wherein the KPoppers were usually their customers.

The place was just enough for 25-30 people to hold their business meetings or  just to have a casual chitchat.   They play Korean movies every Friday exclusively for their customers.

img_2767

Well, I only had the chance to taste two of their coffees– the coffee latte and the Purple Potato Latte which is their signature coffee.  Personally, I prefer the simple coffee latte– it was perfect already that I didn’t have to add any sugar at all.

img_2785

Purple Potato Latte- their signature coffee

In the video below is a demonstration of how the barista prepares the coffee.

img_2827

Their desserts were kinda tempting, but unfortunately, I cannot have a feedback about their rice meals and desserts because I didn’t have the chance to try the bestsellers for their food.   What I can recommend though is for you to try the COFFEE LATTE.

As promised, I will share about my experience in Z Spa last week.  I have chosen the Mother of Pearl Body Scrub as suggested by the owner, Ms. Chat.  Well, as the name suggests, it can give you a glowing effect on your skin.  We were ushered to our executive room with its own CR (with shower and bath tub) and sauna.  After I had the sauna for about lesst than 10 minutes, I took a quick shower.  The therapist, Karen, handed me a disposable T-back underwear and a towel.

img_2670

img_2606

For my Mother of Pearl Body Scrub

In the photo above, you will see the aloe vera, the coconut oil and the other one (I forgot what it’s called) for the foot reflex.  I was informed that all the ingredients used in their spa are all-naturals.  Unlike the other spas, they do not use mineral oil because it can make the skin very dry.

img_2610

Below is the video of our body scrub treatment.  I wasn’t able to take a photo of all the dead skin cells removed by Karen.  The Mother of Pearl Body Scrub is a whitening treatment, but of course do not expect quick results.  Yes, your skin will be lightened, but it won’t take long.  You need to have at least 2 sessions per month for your skin to achieve the best results.

After taking a hot bath in the tub, Shane and I had our foot wash and  my Swedish massage after.

Their foot wash is something different compared to what we had in Discovery Shores last summer.  It was foamy and very relaxing.

Because we were relaxed, we forgot that it was already 7pm, hihi!  You won’t get bored during your treatment because you have the option to turn on the TV in the room.  For those who would like to be relaxed, there’s a soothing music being played during the treatment.

I would recommend Z Spa because the place is really clean and the staff are very professional; however, I would appreciate it more if they would have the clients fill out the info sheet first before they start the treatment.  My therapist asked me if I have allergies or any sickness, but it would be better if they will have their own file as well.

Disclosure:  This post was made possible by Z Spa.  The opinions written here are from my own judgement and based from my own experience.

Yay!  So I finally signed up for  an 18 month membership with Fitness First.  Because I was really busy, I could only devote Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for my training.  Yesterday, I had my first PT session with Cath, my personal trainer.  It only lasted for an hour, but it felt good and I didn’t have body or muscular pains at all.  Even if there is, I am already motivated to have a drop-dead gorgeous beach-ready body this coming summer.  So, this is it!  I accept the fitness challenge and I swear, I will be able to tone down my muscles and legs and have a flat tummy by next year.

I am not really familiar with the exercises and workouts to do and later, I will have my second session to try out the other machines on my own.  After the session, I had a shower and tried their sauna bath.

Finally, I had coffee with my guest (my 13 year old son Kyle) who had a complimentary pass.  Every Friday, I have that kind of privilege. We had to wait for the mall’s opening because I had to shop for training outfits.  I will feature that on my next post.

Crescent Moon Cafe located in Dalig, Antipolo is well-known for its one of a kind dishes served in their weekend lunch buffet and one of its renowned dishes is the Alagao Salad.  It’s like the usual salad station wherein you put the ingredients on top, but the difference with this one is that you put the ingredients (basil, dried coconut, chili, ginger, kamias, onion, shrimp and sweet peanut sauce) on the alagao leaf.  Hmimm, it it the first that you’ve heard of this appetizer?

The Alagao is one part of the Pito-pito (the combination of seven wonder herbs and seeds considered effective for lowering cholesterol and increasing blood circulation).  Yes, you have to eat this raw and fill it in with the ingredients and roll it like a lumpia.  In the video below, you will see how I create mine and my reaction when I tasted it.

I actually couldn’t describe the taste– the fusion of the sour, spicy and menthol-like tastes is very dominant in the crunchy leaf.  My Alagao wrap was more of sour because I put more kamias.  I recommend only having it once because if you had more, you might not be able to have appetite in trying the other dishes because of its strong taste.

Anyway, the Alagao Salad tasting is one of the highlights in my visit to Crescent Moon Cafe and it’s definitely one experience I couldn’t forget. Below is the contact number of Crescent Moon should you decide to try it.

img_2506

A day before my birthday I was given two special treats:  first was the discounted membership fee @ Fitness First and after a 20 -25 minutes ride from Robinsons Metroeast, I had a relaxing and destressing session in Z Spa.  It is located on the 2nd Floor of Ace Hotel & Suites in United cor. Brixton Streets, Pasig City.  They just opened this October that’s why most of you are not familiar with Z Spa yet.   The spa itself (with the area of 460 square meters) is well-maintained (literally spotless because the owner is very particular with cleanliness and hygiene).  The interior design is impressive as well.  The furnitures and home decors are made of  wood because it is associated with the meaning of Z in Zosima which is life.

img_2642

Upon entering, we were welcomed by their receptionist and after that, we waited in their lounge and we had our welcome drinks.  I have learned that it was the owner, Ms. Chat, who personally prepares the refreshing cucumber juice with ginger and lemon.

img_2648

I have chosen to have the Coco Body Scrub (for anti-aging) but after talking to Ms. Chat, I decided to have the Mother of Pearl Body Scrub (for whitening) instead.  I was actually intrigued because she told me that i will be amazed of the result.  (There will be a separate post  about my Z Spa Experience).

img_2595

There are two hallways.  The first one has De Luxe rooms for the Thai & Swedish Massage with a common CR and the other one has Executive rooms (with own CR, sauna, bath tub and shower area).

The De Luxe rooms for two and three persons

img_2663

The common CR

Below is our executive room (for two persons) where I had the body scrub.  Like the De Luxe Rooms, all rooms are also air-conditioned.   I liked the privacy and comfortability that we had.  We started the treatment at 3pm and because we were so relaxed, it ended at past 7pm.  My therapist, Karen, was very friendly and she made me feel comfortable.

For you to appreciate the place more,  I have here a video of the lobby.  It would be better though if you will visit in your free time and destress just like what I did!

Here are the services that they offer:

Thai Massage  (60 mins-P750) (90 mins-P1100) (120 mins P1300)

Swedish Massage  (60 mins-P850) (90 mins-P1200) (120 mins P1400)

 Foot Reflex (90 mins-P970) (120 mins P1250)

Body Scrub

Mother or Pearl Body Scrub (90 mins) P2200

Coco Body Scrub (90 mins) P2000

Underarm Whitening Treatment (Package of 6 sessions) 5 + 1  P6,800

This Underarm Whitening Treatment is soooooo interesting— honestly, I need this for my Boracay escapade this coming April 2018; however, another option is for you to have the body scrub at least twice per month to have a glowing effect in your skin.  Their slimming service is something also to be watched out for and they will offer it SOON.  The skin tightening service is quite interesting.  This is the perfect solution for those who are dying to have nice legs and arms this coming summer.  This is actually my problem, hihi!— once I have solved my problems with my weight, the problem is that my skin sags.

In Z Spa, all the therapists were professionally trained.  They have certificates from TESDA and had one month training from DOH.  One thing that I also like is that they are kid-friendly.  In fact, they allowed my daughter Shane to stay in my Executive room to watch cartoons, have a hot bath in the tub and a have a calming foot wash.

This is definitely worth a try!  To be pampered and relaxed, you may visit them and see for yourself.

Disclaimer:  This post was made possible by Z Spa but everything in this article is based from my own judgement and my ideas are not influenced by the management.

I never thought that I would actually be a member of Fitness First as I had plans before but I never pushed through with it.  I was reluctant before due to these factors:  time and the monthly fee.  I was motivated to pursue this when I stayed in Discovery Suites last month and was impressed with the Balance Lifestyle Fitness Club.  The membership fee is P5,000 per month (too expensive for me!) and it is located in Ortigas.  Definitely, it’s a NO-NO for a working mom like me with limited budget.  I just inquired in Fitness First Metroeast (located in Robinson’s Metroeast, Marcos Highway, Cainta, Rizal).

img_2563

img_2568

My appointment to speak with a representative was 10am.  We were there for about 2 hours for the consultation, tour and member orientation.  What I was waiting was the membership fee and monthly fee.  When I was informed that the monthly fee will just be P2,300, I thought that it’s already a good deal and I had to grab this opportunity; however, when Raymond (the one who handled my inquiry) told me that I need to settle a one-time payment amounting to P9k plus, I said NO.  It ended up with the P2,600 one time payment instead and the monthly fee of P2,300 which will be paid every first day of the month.

The purpose why I decided to join Fitness First is to have at least 3x per week training/workout.  I’m super busy with work, hobby and family that it’s really hard to squeeze some time for this— but this time, I am really determined to change my style and routine.  I would really like to lose weight and be physically fit.  For now, I would be allotting 3 days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) for this.  The good news is that I can bring a guest for free every Friday so hubby will be training with me.

img_2578

There are 4 sessions each with my Sports Rehabilitation Trainer (Cath) and my nutrionist whom I haven’t met yet.  My first day of training with Ms Cath will be on Friday (November 17, 2017) at 6:30am.  I am excited already!  Watch out for my next post about it (more pics and videos) . I am already shopping for training/exercise outfits but they are kinda expensive.

I have signed up for 18 months with Fitness First and I hope that I won’t regret doing it.  I have seen the equipments and quite impressive.  They have free classes daily as well and you can stay in the lounge area for free coffee.  The only thing that I do not like or they need to improve is their comfort room.  They have sauna but they do not have jacuzzi.  I hope in the future they will be considering that, but anyway this is the NEW chapter for me and as a membeer of this fitness club, all I have to do is to make the most out of my membership.

As of Nov. 12,2017 my weight is 59.7 kgs.  I swear this coming April, I will have a beach-ready body.  Til next post!

Hello, dear readers!  Yes, I am organizing a beach wedding in 5 months and take note– it doesn’t have to be extravagant as we have a limited budget for this.  I already have coordinated before with Estacio Uno for their wedding ceremony and reception package for P145k for 30 pax and another P15k for the pastor, but I’m thinking on having a DIY instead or having an affordable package somewhere else.  Having spectators in White Beach would be a good experience, but I have also considered having privacy  so I am considering Puka Beach and Diniwid Beach this time.

island hopping1

As of this writing, I haven’t closed anything yet as I am still waiting for the hotels’ responses. I am considering The Orient Beach Hotel in Puka Beach and I am waiting for Wahine Weddings in Diniwid Beach.   I am positive that this month I can get the proper venue for the ceremony and reception and the other details will be easier to handle after I have ensured about this.  Remember, we can always find a better option and we need a lot of patience and persistence to do this.  Good luck to me!  If ever you can help, feel free to contact me.

Update:  I found White Beach Resort in Station 1 inexpensive; however, the date I have chosen is one of their busiest days as they are celebrating a big event during that time-the LABoracay.

I am still finalizing the details with Wahine Weddings in Diniwid Beach and we are getting there.  My next post about this will be on April 2018 (winks!).

It was just recently that I have discovered Crescent Moon Cafe in Dalig, Antipolo.  What makes them distinct from the other cafes is not only the food they serve but they also offer different workshops.  One of the workshops that I was able to observe is their Musical Instrument Making Workshop facilitated by Sir Jose Vufourth, a Music teacher in HEDCEN Antipolo.   The fee to join is P1,900 per head inclusive of lunch buffet.  This seminar is recommended for MAPEH teachers especially to those who teach the musical instruments.  The students would appreciate it more if they can see their teachers create or play the musical instruments in front of them.

img_2390

Out of scrap materials, the participants created their own musical instruments and we have also had lecture about the other musical instruments that I honestly do not have any idea with.

The TRIANGLE

The Agogo (a musical instrument that originated from Africa)

This is Kubing from the Philippines but according to Sir Vufourth they also have the same instrument in Vietnam, only the latter is smaller than ours.

Of all the musical instruments, the SHAKER is the easiest to create.  You only need an empty can and glass beads.

Antipolo is known for its famous suman and kasoy and also for the innumerable private resorts.  It’s just lately that I have discovered Crescent Moon Cafe and Pottery Studio, located in Brgy. Dalig, Antipolo City.  Upon entering the gate, you will feel the homey and relaxing ambiance (perfect for nature lovers!).

img_2393

It’s just as short walk from there to the restaurant/cafe. The staff are attentive and professional– they will usher and assist you to make sure that you are comfortable.   What makes it distinct to the other cafes/restaurants is that they offer uncommon dishes– Yes! In fact, it’s my first time to try the Alagao Salad (appetizer) and it was really undescribable. (There will be a separate post about this Alagao Salad Experience).

This video features their lunch buffet dishes.  The buffet is only offered during weekends- P500 during Saturdays and P600 during Sundays.  The cafe is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm.  Their menu is posted in their Facebook page so you can take a look in advance.

I super liked the suman because it’s already sweetened and I liked the ripe mango as well– perfect combination!

We also had the chance to observe their workshop and participate as well– they offer variety of workshops but when the day I visited, they had the Musical Instrument Making Workshop at the Glass Bar.  It was really an amazing experience because I have observed how they create the instruments and i think as an educator, especially if you are teaching MAPEH in Junior High, you should also be knowledgeable in creating instruments (the students will appreciate it more if you will be the one to demonstrate it or let them experience how to create it instead of just watching the video. (A separate post will be written about my experience in this workshop)

Disclosure:  This experience is courtesy of the Crescent Moon Cafe but everything that is written here is based from my honest opinion.

So now, I’m a certified blogger, but hey, I have actually started blogging ten years ago and because of the nature of my work as an educator, I wasn’t able to give more time to create interesting stories and share it to the public.  I also shifted from different blogging sites until I finally decided to stick with WordPress.

Before, I only get to blog when I am on a summer vacation and I would like to share ablout my trip– now, it’s becoming an addiction.  It’s probably because I am inspired to write.  I have realized it’s not only about sharing my experiences; in fact, blogging is also a tool to inform the readers about something new or interesting.  Despite of my busy schedule, I try to squeeze some time (during the weekends) to feature establishments.  Since I am new in travel blogging, I will explore the Philippines first– and hoping to share about my experiences when I get to travel to other countries hopefully soon!

At first, you will be needing your own resources for traveling, but eventually, you’ll get to  to meet partners who will help in your journey as a blogger.  Given this opportunity, professionalism should be practiced at all times.  I always give my honest reviews about the places I’ve been to and I won’t feature something that I don’t believe in.  In order for you to have an interesting content, you also need to enjoy what you are doing.  I am quite surprised that now, I am managing to update my blog.   I have a lot in store for you guys– watch out for my next posts 🙂

One of my planned activities in my stay in Discovery Suites is to use their fitness center.  It’s a good thing I have managed to squeeze the time for that before we have our photoshoot in Serendipity Lounge.  Because I was focused with our photoshoot and  wedding anniversary, I forgot to bring rubber shoes that’s why I wasn’t able to use their equipments.  The receptionists (Joyce and Hannah) were very friendly and courteous, that they have convinced me to stay and use their jacuzzi and sauna instead.  The rate for walk-ins is P500, but you can use for free if you are staying in the hotel.

Hubby used the equipments (all of them are working).  If you go to other fitness centers, most of their equipments are not working anymore.  Anyway, I went back to our suite to get a swimwear and they assisted me profesionally.

The club is very clean and organized.  I was given my locker wherein I can place my important belongings while I’m relaxing.  I must say that it’s al worth every penny. When you are actually there, you don’t want to leave anymore.  Too bad, I only got to stay there for less than an hour.  I gave Joyce and Hannah instructions that I will use the jacuzzi for only 20 minutes and Hannah came back at the exact time 🙂

The jacuzzi was my favorite.  I wanted it hot because it was really cold that morning.  When Hannah finally came to remind me that I had to go to the steam room, I was really thankful because I don’t have to remind them anymore.  After 10 minutes in the steam room, Hannah came back and led me to the Sauna room.

If only distance won’t be a problem, I will definitely choose this club but then I had to choose one which is near to our place.

I highly recommend this fitness club to Pasig or Mandaluyong residents.  Believe me, it’s worth every penny 🙂

I’m lookin’ forward for summer 2018 and YES, I am too desperate to have a drop-dead gorgeous beach-ready body.

I am actually considering to be a member of one of the fitness clubs and as much as I would like to be a member of Balance Lifestyle Fitness Club @ Discovery Suites Manila, the location won’t work for me.  Obviously, I won’t be able to go there on a daily basis since I have mommy duties in the morning and I have to be in school before 1pm.  So it narrows down to only two choices– I have signed up for free trial for Slimmers’ World and Fitness First.  I will do my very best to try at least one and see if it will work with me.

First of all, it has to fit my budget if ever and it has to be near our place and I can get the privacy I want.  I do not want to engage in group exercises and other activities.  In my next post, I will be sharing with you about my experience in visiting the club (At this moment, I am still thinking which fitness club to visit).  Do you have any suggestions?

UPDATE:  I called Slimmers’ World for a free trial workout on Saturday (November 11, 2017) in SM Marikina.  Yesterday afternoon, I received a call from Fitness First and I will have the trial workout on Sunday (November 12, 2017) in Robinsons Metro East at 10am.  I will be posting a separate review about their clubs.

Despite of the stressful week, I have managed to schedule my wedding anniversary photoshoot at Discovery Suites Manila last week.  Since this will be something very special, I had to choose my outfits carefully.  I have used three long dresses for the said photoshoot.

Black dress by Karimadon

I bought the two dresses last year at Karimadon in Robinson’s Metroeast.  Each dress costs more or less P3k.  It fitted me well because I personally went to the boutique unlike the last dress that I just bought online, the bust part was too big 🙁

I ordered this dress online via Lazada. I chose INT’L Medium because it fits my hips (37-38) but it doesn’t fit the bust area.  I brought a pocket sewing kit with us and the pin saved my day, but it was not comfortable and I felt like anytime, the dress would go down and I would be stripped, heheh.  Thanks to our photographer, Mr. Aldrin Quisay for the beautiful and creative shots.

Part of our stay in Discovery Suites include the free buffet breakfast for 4 adults.  Since I brought my daughter with us, I paid half of the buffet price which is P400+.  We were able to go to Restaurant 5 at about past 6am and there were Koreans already for the breakfast.   They are strict with the dress code– smart casual attire only and no casual shorts or sleeveless are alowed since that is a business hotel.

I have taken photos of their foods served for breakfast.  There were variety of foods to choose from and I was quite pleased with my experience on that day.

Of course the kids went to the cereals station and chose their favorite chocolate cereals 🙂

I cannot skip chicken if ever there is any in the buffet.  I only have gotten few pieces because I would like to try the other dishes as well.

I’ve tried the hash brown potatoes and they were tasty.

I was too busy taking photos and assisting the kiddos in getting their meals that I totally forgot to taste this 🙁

I know I’m in a diet (It just doesn’t look that I am since I am still not in shape, hehehe).  I couldn’t have breakfast also without having fried rice in my plate, but I only had 1 cup to be safe.

I love pasta but there’s something with pesto sauce that I didn’t like– too salty.

I also had a slice of vegetable pizza and it was so yummy.

I had a bowl of egg drop soup and it was good.  Usually, if I do not like the soup, I don’t get to finish it, but not this time 🙂

The kids had a glass each of Dalandan Juice.  As much as I would like to have a glass of juice also, I already had a cup of hot chocolate.

I had a carrot cake– I forgot to get a piece of cinnamon roll.  I wanted to have a slice of bread and butter spread but I might overeat, hehe!

Hubby enjoyed the fresh fruits.

We all visited the egg station.  My son Kyle requested for sunny side-up, my daughter and I had scrambled eggs and hubby had the omelette.

My breakfast

To sum up my tummy’s experience at Restaurant 5. I will give a 4.5 out of 5 stars.  Yes, I did enjoy the buffet breakfast.  I just didn’t eat much 🙂
