It’s officially SUMMER and yes, it’s freakin’ hot‼️ Almost everybody wants to go to the beach and beat the heat ☀️ Oh, well, don’t get too excited because besides choosing your summer destination, you have to get ready. Don’t worry because I will give you some tips on how to achieve a perfect summer look.
Why is it important to work on your summer look?
Of course, we need to be drop-dead gorgeous on and off-cam. Whether you admit it or not, a vacation is not possible without pictures and videos, so your appearance is really important.
Tips on Achieving A Perfect Summer Look
I just mentioned earlier that you must look presentable, but how do we get the perfect summer look? Personally, no makeup is better for me because it looks so natural. I just put on a facial powder to cover my dark circles.
If it’s for a photoshoot, you can wear light makeup for a natural look.
Part of a beauty routine is to have a skincare routine as well. Rather than wearing makeup, which makes your face sticky and uncomfortable, especially due to the weather, it is best to use the following:
✅ facial wash 🧼 (day and night)
It is important to keep your skin clean and wash your face on a regular basis. It depends on the brand you’re using—if you feel the product works for you, then keep using it.
✅ moisturizer (day and night)
Moisturizing your skin is important because excessive summer heat can dehydrate your skin. It also helps to make your skin smooth and radiant. Make sure you have this in your bag!
✅ face powder (if necessary), but it’s better to feel and look fresh, so if you can manage not to apply it on your face, it will be better.
✅ Sunscreen 🧴
Apply sunscreen (at least SPF 30) if you will go out (even if you will not go to the beach) to protect your skin for at least 2 hours.
✅ Lip balm instead of lipstick 💄 to keep your lips moisturized. So, goodbye to cracked and chapped lips 😀
• Hair care
A woman’s hair is said to be her crowning glory, but how can you maintain it during the summer, especially if you have long hair?
✅ Clean with shampoo and conditioner to remove dirt and oil from the hair.
✅ Use hair protection like hair mist to keep your hair soft and shiny.
✅ Have a comfy summer hairstyle (ponytail or bun), or you can also have a short haircut if you prefer.
• Drink enough water.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water or more each day to hydrate your skin. It doesn’t only boost our energy, but it also gives you that summer glow 🌟
Choose your summer outfits and accessories
🌞Summer is all about vibrant colors, but choose something that suits your personality (color and design).
🌞 Go sleeveless and drop your denim jeans 👖; replace them with shorts or flowy pants 🩳.
🌞Avoid skinny or tight clothing – choose loose and comfortable clothing.
🌞 Choose a light or breathable fabric that will make you feel comfortable.
🌞 Mix and match with the basics, but be sure to create a chic and glamorous result (depends on how creative you are)
🌞 Prop up your outfit with sunglasses, a hat and a bag.
🌞 Use sandals or slippers most of the time to keep your feet dry.
Relaxation & Destressing Session
Whether you want it or not, you must give yourself a gift of relaxation. If this is not within your budget for a relaxing spa massage, you can do it from the comfort of your own home.
