Why I booked Hennan Regency Boracay
Our additional night in Boracay was unplanned. Originally, we booked for a 4-D/3N trip to Crimson Hotel Boracay, but due to the unexpected schedule with Hubby’s work, we had to reschedule our trip. Unfortunately, AirAsia does not have a flight on the 30th and if we book other airlines, the cheapest flight would require us to get ready and fly early in the morning. That means we won’t be able to enjoy our 4th day on the island, so what’s the point of leaving that day when you can extend for another day? So, when I have confirmed with Hubby that we will extend (for real), I gave him 3 options: The first option is to extend in Crimson Hotel Boracay and pay P19,667 for the additional night. The second option is to search for a cheap hotel, non-beachfront with great reviews (I was thinking about Ferra Hotel) and which would cost us only P3425. It was such a good deal, but we had to consider that we had no breathtaking views from our room and of course, we had to walk when going for a swim 🏊♀️. For the final option, a beachfront hotel with a family room (2 connecting rooms for 3 adults and 1 child) for P6,363 with complimentary breakfast. In the end, he finally chose option 3, which is Hennan Regency Boracay, which has a family room. This blog post features my Hennan Regency Boracay review and it aims to give an idea for travelers on what to expect should they decide to book this property.
The Location
Hennan Regency Boracay is located in Station 2, White Beach 🏖. It’s just walking distance to D’mall. It’s popular because of their restaurant Sea Breeze Cafe.
My First Impression
Pre-customer service experience
⭐️⭐️ Honestly, I was quite disappointed with Hennan Regency Boracay because I requested for a pdf copy of my hotel confirmation voucher via email, but nobody responded for more or less 2 weeks. I messaged them in IG, FB and left a message on their website, and even tried to call in their published phone numbers and the number given to me when I chatted via FB messenger. After a few days, I got an email from their reservations team. I got my pdf copy, thanks, but please… next time, (this applies to all your guests), please try to respond to your customers asap even you can’t fulfill their requests, at least respond to them.
Because of this experience, I thought I would have a terrible experience with their hotel staff.

We always pass by Hennan Regency Boracay when we were walking from Station 1-3, and I was quite curious though what it feels like to stay there. My impression is it’s an above-average type of hotel 🏨 and I wonder 💭 and dead curious 🤨 if the rooms and other facilities are impressive as well.
The Lobby

The lobby was spacious and yes, it is higher than average, so to me it can be classified as a 4 star hotel. There was no “wow” reaction when I entered the place, but it wasn’t bad at all. I think that a small renovation is necessary to give the hotel a whole new look because it is already quite old.
The Check-in Process

We arrived at Hennan Regency Boracay at 11am and I forgot it was too early. (Possibly due to excitement). The standard check-in time is 3pm so I wonder why there is a check-in queue at that time 😂 After the front desk officer got our Ids, we just left our luggage and went to the D’mall to buy “pasalubongs.”

For me, it’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because the front desk staff are all professional, articulate, and they have explained everything to us 👏👏👏 The reason why I didn’t give a 5-⭐️ rating is because they didn’t give us welcome drinks 🍹🍹 Well, it was freaking’ hot that time and the resort was jam packed with people, so at least a glass of cold juice or water could help in a way.
The Hotel Amenities
We were unable to explore the resort as we were too exhausted from the afternoon swimming and walking. We just had dinner in our room because we didn’t have enough energy to eat out.

In the video 👇 you can watch our Boracay 2021 Day 4, wherein we transferred from Crimson Hotel Boracay to Hennan Regency Boracay.
ROOM TOUR
Let’s have a quick room tour of our family room at Hennan Regency Boracay before we proceed with the hotel review.
Room type: Family room (P6,363 for 3 adults and 1 kid)

Let me start my hotel review with the things that I liked during our overnight stay (November 30-December 1, 2021)
What I liked about Hennan Regency Boracay
1. Cleanliness
Though Hennan Regency Boracay is not a 5-star hotel, all the areas in the property are clean.
2. Freebies
Like most hotels, they also provide free coffee and tea making facilities. The toiletries and sanitizing kits are complete. They also have a water dispenser so we don’t have to buy anymore, which is very convenient to us. Good job, the housekeeping team for not missing anything!

3. Pool view

Our family room has a pool view (which is quite relaxing) and a few steps away, you can already swim in the beach 🏖 (Isn’t that cool?) It was very convenient for us— no need to climb the stairs and go to different buildings.
4. Front desk staff/concierge services
Well, I didn’t even believe it myself, but I was really impressed with their staff—from the guards, front desk staff, housekeeping, and IT team. Good job, Hennan Regency Boracay! It just shows that they are all well-trained in dealing with guests.
5. Breakfast at Sea Breeze Cafe

We loved the breakfast buffet @ Sea Breeze Cafe. They were very organized— the breakfast was served by batch (6-8am and 8-10am). I chose 6-8am so we can still have our morning swim and prepare before we leave. When we get there, the staff asked for our room number and accompanied us to our table.. They already reserved a table for each room so you don’t have to wait look for one. You can check my vlog for this below ⬇️). There were variety of selections and all of the foods were delicious 😋

6. Sleep quality
We had a comfortable sleep in our family room😴 – thanks for the clean and soft bed. It really helped us to energize because we were so exhausted on our day 4.
Overall Impression & Recommendations
For this hotel review, I will give Hennan Regency Boracay 4 out of 5 stars. I couldn’t ask for more for its reasonable rate for our family room.. It just needs minor renovations
Suggestions
I hope these suggestions in my hotel review would help in a way to satisfy their upcoming guests. I’m sure that people are always hunting for budget-friendly hotels. It’s better to combine this with excellent service.
1. Fix the shower and other fixtures
We had a poor shower experience because most of the time, we couldn’t close it and the worst part is , the water is hot 🥵 I had to call hubby to close it for me, which was a hassle. Bath time should be fun! Why don’t you consider putting a bathtub also?
2. WIFI connection
Though Hubby and I have postpaid plans, WIFI is still important because I have other devices with me like iPad and my laptop. If there is no WIFI, I have to connect via hotspot for urgent matters. I informed the front desk immediately and they sent an IT staff to fix it. To be fair with him, he did everything to fix it and we even told him it’s ok, we will just use our data to connect. Before we sleep, we were able to connect to their WIFI.
3. Swimming pool/s
We were not able to swim (hubby doesn’t want to)— it’s because the water looked dirty during our stay. On our last day in the hotel, we saw that somebody was cleaning it. I think they are maintaining the pool on a regular basis (I am not sure how often in a week). If it’s possible to clean it daily especially the large pools, they should.
Is this worth the price I paid for?
This is a BIG YES!!! on your budgetFor P6,363 for a family room, I would say, it’s worth the price. It really is reasonable enough. If you wanted a decent place to stay in Boracay and you are tight in your budget, Hennan Regency Boracay is a good choice (not to mention that is a beachfront hotel. We also loved the breakfast @ Sea Breeze Cafe 🥞❤️
Thank you once again for taking time to read this review. I hope I will be able to share some of my staycations and short vacay trips in 2022. More reviews to come.
Love,
