Last year, I published my post on what happened to me in 2019 and my 2020 goals. Now, let’s see if I’ve accomplished my goals and see what happened. I’ve been busy with the holiday preparations, but I need to devote some time to set my goals for 2021. Let’s get the ball rolling!
What Happened in 2020?
Let’s have a flashback. My resignation from public school came into effect in January 2020. In other words, I was able to work full time as the marketing manager and owner of my own tutoring company. I also had time to develop relationships with my children since I worked most of the time from home. Let me go over all the details and see what I can do next year.
Health Issues

I can say that my health has improved since 2020. As there was no paperwork and daily requirements that I had to submit, there was no reason for me to get stressed out. My objective to have a fitness routine was not accomplished, so this part was a failure. It will be more practical to buy fitness equipment and accessories instead of having a monthly membership in a fitness club. As a Christmas gift for myself, I gave myself the perfect gift so I have purchased a treadmill using my BDO credit card. I have set up a fitness area at home to achieve my fitness goals.
For diet and healthy food, I kept on having 1 cup of rice every meal and vegetables included in our menu at least once or twice a week. As for coffee, I drink instant coffee for approximately 5-7 cups a day. I know, I got to do something about it, but little by little since coffee is what I’m addicted to. Increasing water consumption is also a necessity for being disease-free.
GOALS:
I have to be consistent with my workout routine. After all, there is no excuse for sloth this time since I have my own fitness zone at home. It makes sense to have a day off every week. I’m going to find a way to replace the instant coffee.
Financial Problems

I was able to manage and control my expenses and best of all, pay my credit cards and other bills in a timely manner. I think I have regained my good credit score since I received two credit cards from BDO.
GOALS:
My goal for 2021 is to keep that consistency in the payment of my bills on time. That’s it. I have control over expenditures (Less travel and leisure unless sponsorship is available).
BUSINESS

Despite what happened around the world due to the pandemic, I am pleased that I was able to find an option for my business. I have successfully shifted from face-to-face transactions to online. I have become wise in decision-making as well. I’ve downgraded some services, and I’ve even ruled out things that we don’t really need.
GOALS:
Of course, one of my goals for 2021 is to make more money. The content marketing plan I prepared last year was not that helpful. I must find a way to drive more clients.
Time Management

One of the positive aspects of this pandemic has been the development of family relationships. Working from home is also convenient because I am the boss and I take responsibility for everything. In the past, I was guilty because I didn’t have time to connect with my children. Now, all of my children are taking online classes here and I see them every day.
GOALS:

One of my goals for 2021 is to take a week off with my family this summer. During this time frame, I will have nothing to worry about, but spending quality time with them. This depends on whether we have the budget unless we have sponsors:-)

I realized I’m not into blogging and YouTube is not my thing. The content schedule was not useful for my business, but I think it will be useful to me as a blogger/influencer. Now I wanted to focus on what I love to do and that is to share photos in my Instagram and Facebook account. I went back into blogging when I shared about our Boracay 2020 preparations. In fact, I am working on Boracay 2020 Diaries Special as promised with bonus articles (hotel reviews of Microtel Boracay, Crimson Boracay, and Discovery Shores Boracay). You can refer to one of my articles here.
GOALS:

I would like to have quality content on my blog and other social networks. To achieve this, I will be needing sponsors. Although in the past, I have worked with restaurants, spas and other companies, they have not influenced me with the content. Being a content creator/blogger means being responsible for what you will share with the public. I will always choose to write about what I believe and tell my story to others.
My 2020 in Review
To sum things up, my 2020 was better than 2019 despite of the pandemic. I always believe that proper planning will help me more to achieve all of my goals for 2021.
