Weekend Lunch: A Review of Maria’s

After we had a visit to Subspace Coffee House in Ortigas Center last Saturday, we looked for a place where we can have our lunch because we haven’t had our breakfast yet.  All we had is just coffee @ Subspace– luckily, we saw Maria’s at Eton Lofts.   I knew everything would taste good even if it really tastes like cardboard–because we were really starving at that time.  I ordered Fried Chicken and ice cream for my daughter and Chicken BBQ Sub for myself.

Yep!  Everytime I go out for a restaurant visit, I check out their chicken and desserts as I do not eat pork and beef 🙁  Hmmm, so we waited patiently for our food and prepared to devour it.  When the fried chicken came, I didn’t have any complain about the taste.  I recommend their garlic rice– not only it is a healthy food, but their version of it was  flavorful.  What I didn’t like though is my Chicken BBQ Sub 🙁  I LOVE Chicken BBQ but I didn’t want it to be that salty.  There was no problem with the presentation– I just didn’t like the taste.  I liked the potato wedges and the complimentary iced tea.

The staff are very polite and they even allowed me to charge my phone.  The ambiance is also cozy and the CR is also clean.  Would I go back?– Hmmm…. probably, when I visit the area again.
