I never thought that I would actually be a member of Fitness First as I had plans before but I never pushed through with it. I was reluctant before due to these factors: time and the monthly fee. I was motivated to pursue this when I stayed in Discovery Suites last month and was impressed with the Balance Lifestyle Fitness Club. The membership fee is P5,000 per month (too expensive for me!) and it is located in Ortigas. Definitely, it’s a NO-NO for a working mom like me with limited budget. I just inquired in Fitness First Metroeast (located in Robinson’s Metroeast, Marcos Highway, Cainta, Rizal).
My appointment to speak with a representative was 10am. We were there for about 2 hours for the consultation, tour and member orientation. What I was waiting was the membership fee and monthly fee. When I was informed that the monthly fee will just be P2,300, I thought that it’s already a good deal and I had to grab this opportunity; however, when Raymond (the one who handled my inquiry) told me that I need to settle a one-time payment amounting to P9k plus, I said NO. It ended up with the P2,600 one time payment instead and the monthly fee of P2,300 which will be paid every first day of the month.
The purpose why I decided to join Fitness First is to have at least 3x per week training/workout. I’m super busy with work, hobby and family that it’s really hard to squeeze some time for this— but this time, I am really determined to change my style and routine. I would really like to lose weight and be physically fit. For now, I would be allotting 3 days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) for this. The good news is that I can bring a guest for free every Friday so hubby will be training with me.
There are 4 sessions each with my Sports Rehabilitation Trainer (Cath) and my nutrionist whom I haven’t met yet. My first day of training with Ms Cath will be on Friday (November 17, 2017) at 6:30am. I am excited already! Watch out for my next post about it (more pics and videos) . I am already shopping for training/exercise outfits but they are kinda expensive.
I have signed up for 18 months with Fitness First and I hope that I won’t regret doing it. I have seen the equipments and quite impressive. They have free classes daily as well and you can stay in the lounge area for free coffee. The only thing that I do not like or they need to improve is their comfort room. They have sauna but they do not have jacuzzi. I hope in the future they will be considering that, but anyway this is the NEW chapter for me and as a membeer of this fitness club, all I have to do is to make the most out of my membership.
As of Nov. 12,2017 my weight is 59.7 kgs. I swear this coming April, I will have a beach-ready body. Til next post!
